We believe that Jesus is the Christ...the Messiah. He is our redeemer. He has made a way and bought us with a price. We are to no longer live our lives for ourselves, but for Him and for the glory of God. Our goal is to please our Lord, to know Him, and to make Him known to others. We believe that we all have struggles in this life and that these struggles, if submitted to Christ, can help to further us in relationship with Him. The struggle is actually part of the process of growth and is therefore needful. All things work together for our good. We believe that the light of Christ shines forth in and through us and that others need to see that light...in the good times as well as the bad. We also believe that we each as believers in Christ have been given the ministry of reconciliation in bringing people onto friendly terms with God. This means that we are to share with women and men who Jesus is and what He has done for us. We are to train up others in Christ with the goal that they also will do the same.
Ministry is simply the sharing of Christ either through word, deed, or action. It can take place in the grocery store, with our neighbor, in the jail, or when a telemarketer calls. It looks different based on the person who we are interacting with and how the Holy Spirit leads. It can happen anywhere and at any time. This means that we need to be open and ready for God to work and move anywhere that we go.
Speaking is something I always disliked...in fact more than disliked. It made me so nervous I wanted to stay home from class. And so, in God's economy, it would make sense that He would allow me a speaking position. Because...that's just what He does. God has touched hearts and lives through the content He has given for retreats and events. Topics have included The Names of God, Breaking Camp, Set Free, The Making of a Diamond, and a Journey Through Psalm 27. Reach out with any questions or to book an event.
Female inmates need to know how valuable they are. They need to feel loved, cared for, and challenged to identify their struggles and submit them to Jesus. As a Chaplain I get the privilege of working with these ladies on a heart level.
International ministry is a wonderful way to see the reality of Christ in the daily lives of others in different cultures than ours. It has looked different in the various seasons of life and has included radio ministry through a program called 'Standing on the Truth', women's leadership training, and outreach.
